Science + Literature: Written in the Stars, a free, public event on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:30pm in the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion at the McGovern Centennial Gardens. Novuyo Rosa Tshuma, author of Digging Stars, joins Ricardo Nuila. the 2024 Science + Literature selection committee chair and Director of the Humanities Expression and Arts Lab (HEAL) at Baylor College of Medicine, for an evening of readings and conversation on writing fiction through a scientific lens. The event will include a book sale and signing, and is presented in partnership with HEAL at Baylor College of Medicine, Hermann Park Conservancy’s Garden & Nature Series, Inprint, and the National Book Foundation

The event is part of the National Book Foundation’s year-round NBF Presents public programming, which brings honored authors around the country to reach readers everywhere. The spring season of NBF Presents features more than 20 authors in 12 cities from February through May 2024, including four Science + Literature–focused events in New York, Texas, Virginia, and Wyoming.
