About the Dog Park

Hermann Park Conservancy is excited to announce plans for an off-leash dog park! Spreading out over nearly two acres off South MacGregor Way along Brays Bayou, this thoughtfully designed dog park will offer separate areas for small and large dogs, areas to play for both dogs and their owners, an interactive water feature, plenty of natural shade, dedicated surface parking, and much more.

Landscape architects at Lauren Griffith Associates are developing the design of the dog park, creating a space as beautiful as it is fun.

Be sure to check out our Doggie Donor Wall to see pictures of our furry friends who donated $500 or more to the Dog Park!

The Hermann Park Dog Park is expected to open in Late 2021 or Early 2022.

Give to the Dog Park

The McWilliams Dog Park is in the homestretch of fundraising and we are calling on the community to help get us over the finish line! Any donations made through June 30, 2020 up to $100,000 will be matched by long-time Conservancy supporters and eternal dog-lovers Winifred Scheuer and Kevin Bonebrake, and Ann Kennedy and Geoffrey Walker.

We hope you'll consider donating and help one of Hermann Parks most overlooked user base. Please consider making a donation today to help us reach our goal and make Hermann Bark become a reality!

The dog park will be located along Brays Bayou, near the intersection of MacGregor Way and Cambridge Street.

The Hermann Park Dog Park will spread across nearly 2.5 acres of land. The above is a preliminary rendering of the site plan from the landscape architects.
