Please read over the guidelines before scheduling your group tour.

Group Tours and School Field Trips

    Please read the following guidelines for group trips to McGovern Centennial Gardens:

    School Field Trips

    • Reservations are required for school field trips.
    • Field trip hours are from 9 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 3 pm, Monday-Friday. 
    • Field trips between 11 am and 1 pm are not allowed.
    • School groups are not allowed to eat lunch inside the McGovern Centennial Gardens. 
    • A maximum of 200 students are allowed in the Gardens at one time.
    • One chaperone is required for every ten students.
    • Field trips are self-guided.
    • The rear gates on Caroline Street are closed daily between 11 am and 1 pm.
    • Large buses are not allowed in Parking Lot C. All loading and unloading must occur on Hermann Drive.

    Self-Guided Group Visits

    • Reservations are required for large groups (15 or more people).
    • Large buses are not allowed in Parking Lot C. All loading and unloading must occur on Hermann Drive.

    Prom Photography or Prom-Related Events

    • Reservations are required for prom group photos or other prom-related events with 15 or more people total (parents and photographers included).
    • A maximum of 100 people for prom-related events are allowed in the Gardens at one time.
    • The rear gates on Caroline Street are closed Thursday -Saturday between 5 pm and 7 pm.
    • Limos are not allowed in Parking Lot C. Limos may drop off riders and park along Caroline Street.
