On Friday, April 30, 2021, we will celebrate the future of Hermann Park at the Conservancy’s spring gala, Evening in the Park. Jo and Jim Furr and Roslyn Bazzelle Mitchell and Derrick Mitchell are thrilled to serve as co-chairs and honor Laura and Brad McWilliams. We look forward to celebrating the new McWilliams Dog Park in Hermann Park – a space for all Houstonians and their four-legged best friends!

With your support, Hermann Park Conservancy is able to care for the Park which is so important for our fellow Houstonians, and is also able to plan for Hermann Park’s future. The Play Your Park campaign is currently underway to bring new and improved gathering spaces, natural areas, exciting play gardens, and much more to the Park. To learn more about Play Your Parkclick here to watch a video on the project.

  • Any guest wishing to self-park, may do so in Parking Lot E (parking map). We will have staff directing individuals that self-park to the event location.

Lastly, something fun! As you arrive, some may choose to take the Hermann Park Railroad from Lindsey Plaza to Molly Ann Smith Plaza. On your way, you’ll see native plantings sprouted throughout the upcoming Commons site, near the corner of Cambridge Street and Fannin Street. These planting are restoring our soil and helping prepare the ground for all the improvements to come. Lisa Gray at the Houston Chronicle wrote a fantastic article published on April 22.
