MARY GIBBS AND JESSE H. JONES GREENWAY BIO-SWALE
Replacing an unattractive drainage ditch in the main parking lot, the Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Greenway Bio-swale collects water from Lake Plaza and filters pollutants as it travels from the Park to the bayou. It also serves as a detention basin by holding water during heavy rainfall to help reduce flooding along the bayou. Landscaping has turned this utilitarian area into a scenic garden.
