Wednesday, September 25, 2019
6 pm - 7:30 pm
McGovern Centennial Gardens, Family Garden

The Garden & Nature Series is back! This September, join Hermann Park Conservancy and the American Institute of Architects - Houston to learn all about sketching in gardens.

With McGovern Centennial Gardens as the backdrop for inspiration, registrants will work one on one or in small groups with architects to learn and develop hand sketching skills. Jim Patterson, with White Oak Studios, will also give a talk about the Gardens. His firm was a part of the design and building of the Gardens in 2014.

This is an all-levels class, so everyone is welcome! Sign up for this free class below.

Hermann Park Conservancy’s Garden & Nature Series offers classes in the Park’s McGovern Centennial Gardens that focus on a variety of subjects all related to garden and nature and the benefits associated with being outdoors. Learn about topics that range from canning your own vegetables and preserving your garden in the winter to sketching a bowl of fruit and photographing the creepers and crawlers in your garden beds. Designed to be fun, hands-on, and informative, these classes are great for novices and experts alike.
