15th Annual Run in the Park

The Conservancy’s 15th Annual Run in the Park offers a 5K run, a 3K walk and a 1K Kids’ Run. Runners and joggers wind through a scenic course below the Park’s historic live oak canopy. The run begins and ends at Molly Ann Smith Plaza near the Jones Reflection Pool where family and friends cheer on participants. A Post-Race Party will feature food, drinks, music and more!

The 5K run will be chip timed and the overall female and male winners of 7 varying age groups will receive great prizes (Overall Male & Female, 19&Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). The top three female and male winners of the Kids' Run also receive medals.


Early Registration: $20, August 9 - October 11
Regular Registration: $30, October 12 - November 8
1K Kids' Run Registration: $15, August 9 - November 8

Packet Pick-Up

Pick up your Run materials on either of the days below. Participants may also pick up t-shirts on the day of the run during the Post-Race Party. You may also register during either packet pick-ups, so bring a friend along!

  • Saturday November 3, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Fleet Feet - 4502 Greenbriar Drive, Houston, TX 77005
  • Wednesday, November 7, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.  at Hermann Park Conservancy's McGovern Centennial Gardens - 1500 Hermann Drive, 77004

Run in the Park brings Houstonians from all walks of life together for a morning of active fun in Hermann Park, showcasing the improvements to the Park's trails. There are many ways to get involved in this special event, from team/group registration to community partners, we invite you and your organizations to come out and be a part of Run in the Park!
