Honor a friend or loved one by making a donation in their name to the Plant a Tree Program. With your donation of $250 per tree, you will help Hermann Park Conservancy preserve the spectacular native tree canopy that has delighted so many Houstonians and visitors to the city.

Select Plant a Tree from the drop down menu. Where indicated on the online form, please type the name of the person or event you wish to honor or memorialize, then enter the name and address of the person or family you wish to receive notice of this donation. They will be sent an attractive Hermann Park note card with notification of your gift.

Honor a loved one by dedicating a bench or other amenity in their honor. Consider the following available options. By dedicating a bench, picnic table, or other amenity, you are helping the Conservancy maintain or replace these important elements in Hermann Park for all to enjoy.

The following naming opportunities are available:

Existing Bench* - $5,000
Includes benches in the general body of the Park and the Japanese Garden. Dedication includes an engraved stainless steel plaque with verbiage chosen by donor. 

New or Replacement Bench* - $7,500
New or replacement of an existing bench; includes an engraved stainless steel plaque with verbiage chosen by donor.

McGovern Centennial Gardens Existing Bench* - $10,000
Includes an engraved stainless steel plaque with verbiage chosen by donor. 

Existing wooden picnic table* - $5,000
Includes an engraved stainless steel plaque with verbiage chosen by donor.

New or Replacement wooden picnic table* - $7,500
New or replacement of an existing table; includes an engraved stainless steel plaque with verbiage chosen by donor.

Replacement drinking fountain with doggie drinker** - $5,000
Replaces an existing fountain and includes an engraved plaque with verbiage chosen by donor.

Existing light fixture - $2,500
Includes a plaque that reads: "[Your Name] is helping brighten Hermann Park"

Trash can - $1,500
Includes a plaque that reads: "[Your Name] is helping keep Hermann Park clean"

*These dedications are for the “useful life” of the amenity (bench or table), meaning once the amenity needs to be replaced it will be available for new dedication. If you choose to dedicate the amenity in perpetuity, meaning it will always hold your dedication, an additional $5,000 is required to be allocated toward a Park Amenities Endowment Fund.

**This donation amount can vary depending on the location of the fountain. New locations may be selected if applicable because of Park improvement projects, but may require additional costs for water line location and installation.

The Conservancy currently has four endowments, all of which offer you the opportunity to provide for Hermann Park's preservation today and for generations to come.

The funds are invested for growth and income, and the Conservancy spends the annual earnings to support general operations or specific preservation of the Park's trees, gardens, and wildlife habitats.
