Benito Juarez
Artist Julian Martinez created the bronze bust of Mexican President Benito Juarez. Juarez served as a judge and city councilman in Oaxaca, governor of the State of Oaxaca, and eventually, as president of Mexico and remains a national hero. The bust was acquired by the City of Houston in 1985.
