Run in the Park on Saturday, November 5, 2011, will mark the first time that Hermann Park Conservancy’s annual run, previously called the Park to Park Run, will take place entirely in Hermann Park. The new route has been made possible thanks to a major renovation of the Park’s two-mile trail, which Mayor Annise Parker will officially open on Saturday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8am. The dedication will take place on the trail near Molly Ann Smith Plaza between the Jones Reflection Pool and McGovern Lake in Hermann Park. Following the dedication, Mayor Parker will shoot the gun at 8:10am to begin Run in the Park.
