Fishing
Fishing Rules
Please be aware of the following rules and regulations regarding fishing in Hermann Park. Please call Visitor Services with any questions at 713-526-2183.
- Fishing is restricted to those aged 12 and younger and 65 and older.
- A Texas fishing license is required for those aged 65-70. (Call 1-800-792-1112 for more information.)
- “Catch and Release” is recommended, so as to allow our young fish population to mature.
- Do not litter. Help keep McGovern Lake clean by picking up and properly disposing of all fishing line, bait containers, fish, and trash.
Fishing Areas
Fishing is permitted at Bob's Fishing Pier, marked toward the bottom left on the map below, or along the western side of the lake beyond the green buoys. Click on the map to see a larger version.
