As the warmer months approach, so does the need to begin a very intensive watering strategy in Hermann Park. Like all other living things, plants depend on water to survive especially trees that have been newly planted. The Hermann Park Conservancy has been working hard to add new trees through out the park. Volunteers have raised money to purchase and plant hundreds of larger trees over the last month. Each of these trees needs to be watered at least once a week in order to survive the summer. We are looking for volunteers to bring their old milk jugs to the park and water the plants.

For information on volunteer opportunities, please contact Barbara Jo Harwell at 713.524.5876 ext. 338 or barbara_jo@hermannpark.org
